Printco Graphics operates with a KBA Rapida 105 Universal, 6-color press. This a quantum leap in technology offers a new experience in printing. The technology of this new press is so desirable that the US Mint prints over 95% of all currency on a KBA press.

Pull out a couple of newly designed US bills ($5, $10 or $20) from your billfold, and look how consistent the color is between them. When you realize that currency is printed as needed, and at various pressings, it is amazing that they all look the same. We are now able to replicate --without variance-- consistent printing and reprinting. The KBA is equipped with a coater to give us more options and more flexibility with our workflow. This is exciting for Omaha, for our customers, and certainly the print industry. Printco won't be printing dollar bills in its future ... but we will be printing very high quality and consistent products.

Our customers demand quality, at lightening turnaround speed. In order to meet their needs, Printco invested millions of dollars in new equipment that is more than capable of handling our customers' needs. We have transformed Printco to a new level of product quality to surpass our competitors.

To start, Printco ran the press 5 days, at a speed of 15,000 sheets per hour. But in a short time, production demand of 350,000 sheets daily has driven Printco to operate 24/7.

Printco cares about the environment and its employees. The ability to introduce inline coating and finishing processes offers enormous potential for Printco and its clients. This new press has the ability to add scents and textures. We can print a photo of a football that feels like leather, and smells like it, too. We are in the process of printing a new metal ink that will allow the look of silver-chrome, or gold. It's so real, you feel the coldness of the metal bumper, or steel ball bearing on the printed sheet.
