Skin Packaging 101

1. The product(s) and printed, adhesive-coated backing card slide onto the vacuum plates. Simultaneously, the plastic skin foil is pulled into the film frame and begins to heat.

2. Once the heated skin foil is flexible and formable, it and film frame are lowered over the product and the backing card.

3. Vacuum suction is applied. The heated skin foil activates the card's adhesive coating, sealing the product within.

4. Finally, the film frame opens and the packed product is moved out of the machine.
